Rozalina Laskova is guest researcher and currently executive director of the Bulgarian non-profit “Education Without Backpacks” (Khan Academy in Bulgaria). She is also founder and manager of Shar Zhar Foundation, an independent organization working in the field of culture and creative industries, cultural entrepreneurship, art management and trans-sectoral art initiatives on relevant socio-political issues. Laskova is also chairwoman of the Berlin-based international organization MitOste.V., a huge network active in Europe and its neighbouring countries in the spheres of active citizenship, cultural exchange, social innovation and urban development. Her prior experience includes executive director of the Iliev Dance Art Foundation and senior officer at the Bulgarian Ministries of Finance and of State Administration and Administrative Reform, serving as priority manager for a program for modernizing the Bulgarian administration, judiciary and NGO sector. As a fellow of the Goerdeler-Kolleg of the Robert Bosch Stiftung, in 2009-2010 Laskova worked at the German Federal Foreign Office and Federal Ministry of Interior. She completed her law degree at Humboldt University in Berlin and her MBA at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia. Laskova is also a Marshal Memorial Fellow of the German Marshal Fund of the United States.  

Laskova’s portfolio in the cultural and creative sphere focuses on cultural entrepreneurship, arts management, organizational development, funding for arts and culture, with an accent on visual and performing arts as well as festivals.
